Chocolate Slice
This decadent chocolate slice is almost too nice to share!
It’s additive and fructose-free making it perfect if you are avoiding sugar and the nasties normally found in commercial chocolate goodies. It’s also a lot healthier than my standard bliss balls but every bit as yummy.
This chocolate slice is full of antioxidants and protein so is healthier than your average treat.
Ingredients:
- 100g raw cashews
- 50g shredded coconut
- 20g white chia seeds
- 1 heaped tbsp raw cacao powder
- 80g rice bran syrup
- 100g coconut oil
- 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
- 1 tbsp dried cranberries
- 35g almond meal (optional)
Combine all the ingredients except for the cranberries and optional almond meal and blend until a thick paste is formed.
Stir in the cranberries.
If mixture is still wet you might like to mix in the optional almond meal.
Line a dish (12cm x 24cm) with baking paper.
Add the mixture to the dish and press to flatten.
Place in the fridge/freezer until it is firm to touch.
Slice into squares and enjoy!
